You’re allowed to seek support!

You might be the person friends go to for advice.

People around you might rely on you to pick up the slack.

You may have a knack for anticipating others’ wants,
while your own needs go unmet.

You have talents and strengths!
(Even if it’s hard to receive a compliment sometimes.)
But you have struggles, too.

Maybe you’ve tried asking for help,
only to have your concerns dismissed or ignored.

People say you’re doing great,
But the reassurance doesn’t stick.

So you’ve learned to stay quiet.
Learned to say, “I’m fine.”
Or, “It could be worse.”

But you don’t have to wait for things to get any worse.

You’re allowed to seek out support, just as you are, right now.

Counseling can be about on personal growth, self improvement, taking action on goals.

Counseling can also be about self acceptance, slowing down, and having space to just be, without judgment.
